Biaxially-textured epitaxial thin-film hetero-structures of ceria and 8 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia (8YSZ) were grown using Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) with the aim to unravel the effect of the interfacial conductivity on the charge transport properties.
